Privacy Policy
This Privacy Statement describes how Atomic Human Capital Solutions collects, uses and safeguards personal information which Candidates may provide to us.
When we refer to personal information we mean information or an opinion about a Candidate, from which their identity is apparent or can reasonably be ascertained.
We are committed to promoting confidence in the manner with which our Candidates' personal information is handled by us. In this regard, we will act ethically and as evidence of this commitment, we will comply with the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000 and the National Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (as amended) in relation to the personal information our Candidates supply to us.
1. Collection
We will only collect personal information that we need for the purpose of performing the duties and activities required by a recruitment company. Generally this will be for recruitment and selection purposes by our consultants and our clients as potential employers, the management of recruitment and human resources processes and any related purpose or where the Candidate has otherwise consented to the collection.
2. Use and Disclosure
We require our Candidates to provide certain personal information in order for us to provide advice to our clients for recruitment, selection and/or development decisions. We will not rent, sell or exchange information about our Candidates to unrelated third parties except to their employers or potential employers, where they consent; where they would reasonably expect the information to be disclosed or where we are legally required to disclose such information.
3. Data Quality
We will take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we have about our Candidates is accurate, complete and up to date at the time of use. We update our files every three months and we also rely on our Candidates to assist us in keeping their personal information accurate and up to date by informing us when their details have changed.
4. Data Security
We have taken reasonable steps to keep our Candidates' personal information secure at all times. For example, electronic access is limited to authorised personnel and paper based information is stored in locked security files. When a Candidate's personal information is no longer needed it is destroyed or permanently de-identified for additional security.
5. Openness
We will be honest and open with our Candidates about the type of personal information that we collect about them and the actual use of any such information. We will let them know at the time of collection or soon after, how we will treat it. If a Candidate requires any details of the personal information held by us about them, they should contact us.
6. Access and Correction
Candidates may request access to the information we have collected about them and obtain a more in depth explanation about how the information is used by contacting Atomic Human Capital Solutions. If a Candidate would like access to detailed personal information and such information is not immediately or easily accessible by us, we may charge an administrative fee for our costs in retrieving and supplying the information to them.
If at any time a Candidate wishes to change personal information that is incorrect or wishes to have their personal information deleted, they should contact us. Unless personal information is required to be retained by us for administrative or legal reasons, Atomic Human Capital Solutions will meet such requests at the earliest possible opportunity.
7. Identifiers
We do not require provision of Commonwealth Government Identifiers (except in the case of Temporary Recruitment where we require the employee's Tax File Number in order to process their wages). Should we, for any reason other than that stated above, have possession of Commonwealth Government Identifiers, we will not use these to identify a Candidate.
8. Transfer of Data
We take reasonable steps to ensure that if any personal information our Candidates provide us is transferred outside Australia, it will remain subject to the protection given by our privacy policy or other legal standards for the protection of personal information that are at least equivalent to the standards set out in this privacy policy.
9. Sensitive Information
We do not believe in intrusive collection of our Candidates' personal details and will not collect information that is considered highly personal or highly sensitive to them without their prior consent.
10. Complaints Resolution
We are committed to providing our Candidates with a fair and responsive system for handling and resolving complaints concerning the handling of their personal information. Candidates have a right to complain and to have their complaints handled efficiently if they are concerned about our handling of their personal information. We believe that in receiving their complaints, we are provided with a valuable opportunity to improve the services we deliver to them and maintain their confidence in our services.
If at any time a Candidate wishes to lodge a complaint in respect of the handling, use or disclosure of their personal information by us, they may do so by contacting Atomic Human Capital Solutions.
We aim to investigate and advise them of the outcome of the complaint promptly.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
From time to time Atomic Human Capital Solutions will update and make changes to this policy. Please ensure you regularly visit and read this policy carefully.
